Choice of Entity
Many enterprises let go their ideals when, needing other people’s capital, it comes in a way that serves itself rather than the goals of the entrepreneur. Careful choice of the form of the entity ensures the autonomy to take initiative.
When we undertake tasks, produce goods or serve others, it matters what form or entity we choose – self-employed, partnership, not-for-profit or company. The choice should be made with careful regard to the types (donations, loans or shares) and amounts of capital appropriate to what one is aiming to achieve.
